Head of Coca Restaurant launches Thai and Western Cookbook

Bangkok (Thailand) 29 February. Pitaya Phanphensophon, the dynamic CEO of Coca Restaurants, yesterday launched his new cookbook, I'm Not a Chef...But I Sure Am a Good Cook! at his China White restaurant, in Bangkok's CentralWorld. "Good food and good friends make for good times," said Mr. Pitaya. "That's what I strive for both at home and in all our restaurants. Every dish should be a treat for all the senses and be presented in a fun atmosphere." Mr. Pitaya (2nd from left) entertained VIP guests including former Miss Thailand Maprang, 2nd from right by cooking several dishes featured in I'm Not a Chef! "The key to good cooking is high-quality, fresh ingredients, good surroundings, a love of entertaining and a willingness to learn from your experiences," said Mr. Pitaya as he prepared beef steak salad with Thai herb dressing and choo chee talay (seafood in Thai red curry sauce) and served moo krob (Thai-style crisp roasted pork belly), chocolate-mixed fruit pavlova and garlic-pepper baked chicken wings.
